Thank you both so much for having us aboard for your inaugural cruise to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Bluffers Park, and back to Port Credit. The boat sailed so well... often 8 & 9 knots on not a lot of wind. We set the sails once and 25 miles later we were across the lake and sightseeing in Niagara. Once the sails are up she pretty much sails herself. The gourmet meals were excellent, not to mention the wine under the moonlight. All the best! - Lisa-May & Nick We recently spent a wonderful weekend aboard "Sophisticated Lady". From the moment we embarked, we were basked in both the hospitality of her crew, and the warm breezes of Georgian Bay. Heading out into open, sparkling waters, we soon felt that all our worries had been left behind on land, and before we knew it, had discovered the timeless and serene beauty of a vessel under sail. We were treated to a variety of truly delightful meals, capably prepared by the crew in a clearly well-provisioned galley, ranging from delicious waffles with fresh fruit, to an amazing Pistachio-Basil Grilled Salmon, and even freshly baked muffins. Our captain happily answered all our nautical questions and explained Sophisticated Lady's impressive array of gear, all while effortlessly piloting his vessel. At anchor in the evenings, we watched amazing sunsets give way to thousands of breathtaking stars that we, as city dwellers, had forgotten were there. Later, gently rocked to sleep in our cabin, with only the occasional sound of lapping water outside, we realized we were sharing experiences that mariners have known for thousands of years. Rick and Terri were gracious and attentive hosts, and when the weekend was over, we were very sorry to leave. Thanks again for a relaxing, refreshing, and unforgettable stay on board! - Chris & Holly Hello Rick and Terri, I just wanted to thank you again for having me aboard for the repositioning cruise of Sophisticated Lady from Lake Ontario to Penetanguishene. I was very impressed with how well the boat sailed especially in Lake Huron where we had close to 25 Kts of wind. We were up to 9 Kts on several occasions. The boat is extremely comfortable even when she is heeled over in a strong wind. I had never been through the Welland Canal before but even that went well. You both knew the best way to control the boat in the high current from the outflows in the lock and we were well prepared. I saw swells I could have surfed on and whirlpools that might well swallow a dinghy. It was pretty exciting. I have enjoyed your gourmet meals on various occasions and this trip was no different. There is something about being on a beautiful boat with good friends that makes every meal like a feast for the senses. Tobermory was beautiful. You also took us by Flowerpot Island which I had visited many years ago. It was extremely beautiful and the color of the clear waters of Georgian Bay were better than I remembered. The 'Duke' was an elegant man, a kindly man, and passionate about his work. As a director, he was not that strict and formal, but with knowledge of his medium and support and encouragement, he made beautiful music. All this reminds us of you guys. Your boat, assistance and spa services are presented with an easy elegance. Without a strict agenda, you led us to find the things we would like so we could have fun and play well. So, thanks so much for letting us be on your bandstand for the past few days. We produced some memorable material that will give us tunes to whistle for a long time!
