Wind In My Sails Inc. is proud to present our new Offshore Sailing Adventures!  Now you can join an experienced Captain and Crew aboard the sailing yacht 'Sophisticated Lady' for the adventure of a lifetime!

Discover the thrill of ocean passagemaking and making landfall in the beautiful islands of the Caribbean.  You will discover exactly what it takes to prepare a boat for offshore passagemaking...  provisioning, watch schedules, meal preparation at sea, night watches, etc.  

This year we are proud to offer the Caribbean 1500 Cruising Rally!  We have a 2-week package designed around getting you the experience you need.  You'll be able to join the yacht in Hampton, Virginia, 3-4 days before the scheduled departure date.   Take in all of the invaluable seminars offered by attendance in the Rally (and the parties!), then we depart the dock and set sail for the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean!!  After 9-10 days at sea, you will also be invited to stay on the yacht and take in all the celebrations and awards ceremonies before departing for home.  

This Sailing Adventure gives sailing individuals (and most importantly, sailing couples!) the chance to gain valuable experience on the ocean, including night sailing, before taking their own boat offshore or in one of the rallies.  The price per person for the entire 2 weeks is $2500US all-inclusive (excepting departure and arrival taxes).

Last year 'Sophisticated Lady' won 3 awards in the Caribbean 1500 Rally, including 2nd in class, 1st in Jeanneau overall, and the Tempest Trophy for assisting with a rescue at sea!  You'll find no shortage of adventure here... and you'll also find we prefer to use our sails as much as possible and can help you learn the art of following weather charts and currents to maximum advantage... It's all part of the experience!
